Shut down your Steam Deck if it isn't already off. If not booting, hold power button for 10s to force the Deck to power down.

Using the power button, turn off your Steam Deck.

Edit: not sure why maybe an update but the compatible setting was lost. I don't believe you are stuck in 1 second. Ordered this Monday and had the “Package Items” status updated on Tuesday and the shipped portion never updated. Bonus it also fixed the freezing (so far). Reinstalled RDR2 on my Steam Deck, installed it before no problem but now when I get to the rockstar launcher I’m stuck on the language select screen and the touch screen is not working at all I bought this a few years ago and it’s worked perfectly fine on my windows PC, it’s just the steam deck version has an issue with the rockstar launcher for some reason! The steam version works perfectly fine which is just my luck - I even bought a steam version to check and it worked fine - but didn’t wanna pay for the game a third time Looks like “all decks” can break any SD card.

This one command puts your Steam Deck on a timeline until it will eventually need to get reimaged again, and it's not a very long one. Eventually I pressed the power button for a few seconds and the screen turned off then turned it on and it continue after doing that 2/3 times. I was almost ready to send the deck back to valve when I found this post on the steam forums: New steam deck turn on.
